Our journey began with a photo of Joshua holding a sloth, the Maid of Honor’s favorite animal. From there, after a beautiful walk in the park in October of 2020 as our first date, we began to build a lasting bond, traveling first to Hawaii and then to Yellowstone within our first year together. Joshua began to build a lasting bond with Dolce, Sarah’s cat, who has absolutely become ours. However, he has taken one for the team by taking allergy meds daily due to his cat allergy! In 2022, we took the step to move in together and have enjoyed building a home together in our apartment with Dolce. Our relationship has grown stronger as we have faced many personal tragedies and scares through the last couple of years. While we have endured these difficult times, our love continues to grow stronger and more supportive of each other. It all culminated in New York City, where Joshua sneakily planned his proposal to Sarah overlooking downtown NYC. We cannot wait to continue traveling and supporting each other throughout the coming years.
Sarah grew up in Athens, OH, as an only child to her wonderful parents, Mark and Lauren. She is a pediatric occupational therapist and loves working with kids to help them learn to be as independent as possible. Sarah loves their cat, Dolce, dancing, and spending as much time as she can with Josh, her family, and friends!
Joshua was born in Roseville, CA, to his wonderful family as the second son of Joseph and Joanna. He grew up with his brother, Joey, in Granite Bay, CA, and built an interest in technology, aviation, and motorsports. He now works in the technology field in both motorsports and aviation. In his free time, you can often see him planning trips to other parts of the world, conversing with Dolce, or catching up with Sarah on the latest TV shows.
