There are 4 airports within driving distance of the venue:

1. Oakland (OAK – 41 Miles)
2. San Francisco (SFO – 50 Miles)
3. San Jose (SJC – 73 Miles)
4. Sacramento (SMF – 76 Miles)

We recommend using Google Flights🔗 and trying each airport to find the best rates. Southwest will not appear and requires checking directly with them.

The wedding party and family will be staying at the San Rafael Embassy Suites🔗. While we welcome you to stay with us, we understand if you’d rather stay at another hotel that suits your needs better. There are plenty of hotels within a short distance of the venue!

Around Stonetree Estate are plenty of unique activities and places to visit. We recommend the following:

Joshua:

• Napa Valley Wine Train — I rode this as a kid and fell in love with it. I didn’t get to try the wine at the time, but the sorbet was delicious! Reservations are required and should be made prior.
• Bodega Bay — Nestled just north of the hustle and bustle of the city sits a quaint small town that certainly will ease your mind and even perhaps make you want to sit and watch a movie… possibly “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock.
• The Walt Disney Family Museum — Located within the Presidio in San Francisco, this museum provides an excellent overview of the Disney Family. It walks you through Walt’s life, building the famous brand and parks that have become a staple of so many people, myself included. Tickets can be purchased in advance.

Sarah:

• Half Moon Bay — This town sits just south of San Francisco, with a beautiful view of the ocean and a fantastic beach. My family frequented Half Moon Bay when I was much younger, leaving a lasting impression on me. I recommend going for sunset if you can take the time for a short road trip.
• Castello di Amorosa Winery — This is perhaps the best winery I’ve ever visited. It is located within a castle just around the corner from our venue. The theming isn’t the only fantastic thing; the wine is unforgettable. If you get a chance to taste the Fantasia Rose, that is our personal favorite. Reservations are required and should be made well in advance.
• Alcatraz Island — My family and I booked a night tour, and it always left me smiling. This island is the former home of a maximum-security prison. It has hosted the infamous gangsters and criminals of the mid-1900s and may even still be haunted by some still serving their life sentences today. Tickets can be purchased in advance.
